Cedar Fern: February 2012

My little baby girl turned one this past weekend! I can hardly believe it! An entire year has gone by since she was a tiny, tiny 3 pound 9 ounce peanut that I was terrified to hold. She was so fragile but yet so strong! It is amazing to see how far she's come in the past year. She is now a mover and a groover. She loves to crawl and explore her surroundings. She is no longer terrified of strangers and will crawl into your lap and demand a bite of your food!

And speaking of food - she is a great little eater now! We used to be scared of giving her any table food because she would choke and (while while we still need to be very cautious) she eats like a champ now! Pizza, pasta, peanut butter, fruits and veggies, meat balls! You name it...she usually wants to eat it! She has 6 teeth and she knows how to use them! It's so cute to see her take little bites of banana or string cheese, leaving tiny teeth marks behind!

She's switching to 1 nap a day and it's been an interesting transition. We're not out of the woods yet but I think this is going to be great for her. And it will allow us more time to attend play dates and go to activities at the library.

Sean and I are so proud of our little lady. She is an amazing little girl and we just love her to bits. It's amazing how you can fall in love with someone so much each and every day. Just when I think I couldn't possibly love her any more than I already do...she looks at me and smiles, or waves hi to me...and my heart melts all over again! We are so very lucky!

We celebrated her big day by having a huge shindig in her honor. Family, our friends and all her little buddies came out for the event and she had an amazing time. Here are some pictures of the big event!
